If you go the old fashioned route and buy a computer outright at an electronics warehouse, it becomes your personal burden.
I have a repeat non-lease client who came in today for the 3rd time in just over a year. He is infected again - two of those three times it was so bad the machine needed to be completely wiped out and have the operating system re-installed. We are now at a total bill of just over $500. Not to mention the indirect cost of his down time (for the repair and getting his programs reinstalled).
IF he was leasing a computer from RedSeven that would have cost him $0. In fact, IF he was leasing a PC or Laptop he would likely have called us at the very first sign of an infection and we could have nipped it in the bud. Instead, he went through several days of popups and wasting his valuable time trying to fix it by himself.
Leasing saves most of our clients money over time, and it definitely saves them aggravation.

Changing the way people think...
It's a real challenge bringing a new product/concept to market. People are amazingly resistant to change, even if it's for the better. I'm not talking about a white iphone. I'm talking about revolutionary game-changing products and services.
RedSeven's computer leasing program is just such a product. It is completely different than the traditional computer ownership model, and completely better. It may seem that we have an advantage over competitors, but revolutionary products take more time and money to sell. This can be especially hard on a small business as word of mouth is not exactly the fast track.
It's a combination of believing in something, old-fashioned pride, and a potential long-term payoff that keep me plugging away. I know we have something special to offer the world, and I hope that once you understand it you will agree.

Invest in a Computer?
Does anyone think your computer will someday be worth more than you paid for it? So why the obsession with ownership? If you think about it, computing is really more of a utility than a thing. Software is much the same, most of us don't buy programs in boxes anymore, we spend our time using free cloud-based services like gmail, facebook, and twitter. Even professional tools for word processing, point of sale, and accounting are slowly moving into the cloud (though likely not for free). Data back-up is moving online too, as is support.
People need help as much as they need a "box". The traditional concept of buying a PC, software, a back-up drive, and then paying through the nose for training or support is fading quickly.

Extended Warranty?
To buy an extended warranty or not to buy and extended warranty? That is a good question! As much as people think a computer is obsolete within days after they purchase one, the fact is that Americans tend to keep their computers for 3-5 years! (if they don't break first). Most extended warranties add two years onto a typical one-year manufacturers warranty. (thought - why don't the manufactures make three years standard?)
Keep in mind that all computers fail at some point - it's simply a matter of when.
From a simple economics standpoint it is usually better to purchase an extended warranty rather than take the risk. A $700+ laptop that requires a new motherboard or LCD screen can easily cost upwards of $400. It's quite likely to have that type of failure within the first three years of purchase. Within three years it's also likely that a sound port, keyboard, hard drive, or DVD drive may fail too. These are also expensive repairs - most always more than the warranty would have cost you.
You need to know the terms of your extended warranty too (how exciting). They can be purchased from retailers (point of sale) and from the manufacturers themselves (online). The manufacturers warranties in general tend to be a better deal. The downside of most is the time it takes to get something fixed. If you have a back-up of your data and another machine to use this is not much of an issue, but IF this is your one and only primary PC/Laptop this is really bad news! Warranty repairs can take weeks or even months.
Leasing a computer solves this problem and often costs you less in the long run. At RedSeven our member's computers are always fixed within 24hrs or we provide a free loaner. Learn more here: http://www.neverbuyanothercomputer.com

Free Security
For what it's worth I now recommend that my friends, family, and clients, that run Windows, use Microsoft Security Essentials for their anti-virus and spyware protection (it's free too).
Until recently I was happy to promote AVG, Avast and other free security products (anything but Norton and McAfee), but most have become so aggressive at pushing people into their "more advanced professional products" that I can no longer recommend them.
MSE never attempts to up-sell it's users. It is less needy CPU-wise, and rarely if ever bothers you. For the first time in a long time, I actually like a Microsoft program.

When consumers buy a PC/laptop most manufacturers have it absolutely slathered with "trial-ware" like Norton 360 and McAfee - and they get paid for doing so. They might not make as much as they did in the good ol' days, but they get their money from you one way or another.
At RedSeven we DON'T sell software, EVER! Watch this short video: http://www.neverbuyanothercomputer.com

Cheaper is better?
I have to laugh to myself when I overhear people talking about this or that "great computer deal". Seriously, what other product do people think that the cheapest item is okay? Cars? Watches? Women? Toilet Paper? Peanut Butter? Hell No! So why is it that so many people go for the bargain basement in computer technology? I'll tell you why - it's because they are scared - they don't know what's going on inside that little magical box, and rather than risk getting burned they look for the cheapest way out. This is one of the big reasons so many users have switched to Macs - they bought crappy discount computers and had a bad experience. Ummmm, you have learned that get what you pay for?
Factor in that over time you will be spending more on "other stuff" than you did on the computer itself, and this is where the opportunity lies. Miscellaneous software, anti-virus protection, extended warranties, and tech support can cost you dearly.
Anyway, my point is that when you purchase something technology-related that you intend to use all the time you DO NOT want to skimp on quality!

Buy Local
RedSeven is proud to be a locally-owned independent company. Leasing a computer from us not only makes your life better, it also strengthens your entire community. When you spend money at a locally owned business a substantially larger portion of your dollar stays right here in the local area vs when you spend it at an out-of-state based corporation. More money in your community makes it cleaner, safer, and more livable. As well, local companies are much better at working together with their clients, rather than treating them like sheep - this relationship makes for a more personalized shopping experience. Never Buy Another Computer - Cost
Cost
Purchasing a PC or laptop outright and "going it alone" just doesn't make economic sense anymore for average home users. If you are realistic about the true cost of owning your computer over it's lifespan you might be shocked at the total price you pay. You need to consider several factors: 1) the purchase price of the computer itself, be sure to include sales tax and/or shipping charges. 2) Security software such as anti-virus, anti-spyware, and anti-spam tools. 3) An extended warranty (this is a must with manufacturers warranties only lasting one year). 4) Will you require delivery and set-up or any future in-home support? (wireless networking comes to mind). 5) How exactly do you plan to back-up your data? External hard drives and online back-up services are fairly inexpensive, though if they aren't set-up to back-up the "right" files you're in big trouble down the line. 6) Will you require any training via books, classes, or a even by paid professional? 7) What programs do you plan to purchase over the next several years? (many users spend more on programs than on their PC).
RedSeven leases top-quality computers with support, warranty, security, back-up, training and software all included for about $1 per day! (about half what most of our members used to spend "going it alone").
